From awareness raising to TB treatment

During its weekly visits to villages, the Change team identifies people who experience symptoms/signs of doubtful TB, such as weight loss, loss of appetite, weight loss, cough, etc...

After that, patients with this symptomatology are examined, a chest X-ray is performed and then the test is carried out with GenExpert.

It is essential to raise the awareness and information of the population in the villages and for this reason, the Change team goes from village to village, from school to school to publicize this initiative, this disease and to detect patients.

Upon finding the presence of tuberculosis disease, the patient is taken care of according to National TBC protocol and put in free therapy.

Change will follow and distribute these medications received by the Ministry of Health. Change wants again thank the Ministry of Health of Madagascar, the District with their respective managers, for trusting us and for recognizing the seriousness of the work we have been doing in this region for years. But we also thank those who have helped us in a significant way, the Eight per Thousand of the Waldensian Church, who is also supporting us, recognizing the importance of our work.
