Our doctors and laboratory technicians participate together with colleagues and technicians from the nearby Boungolava Region. Change has hosted this very important and necessary training in its Health Center, which will allow us to enter to be part of the National TB and HIV/AIDS Network.
The trainers are highly qualified national ministerial personnel. Change may also use the new GenExpert device purchased thanks to the financing of Eight per Thousand of the Waldensian Church.
This test is extremely accurate and quick in acquiring information on the presence or not of TB and its resistance to the main antibiotics. Change can thus carry out the epidemiological study of TB on the population of Ampefy-Andasibe in order to then be able to direct National Network TB Treatment Centers the identified patients. Change thanks the Ministry of Health of Madagascar for this opportunity and the funding obtained from the Eight per Thousand of the Waldensian Church, this is an important step for integration with the Madagascar Health System.
