I lived in close contact with material poverty, but also with a human wealth that I had never known before.
The simplicity of everyday life, far from any comfort, has taught me to look at things with different eyes, to value what is essential.
The locals welcomed me with sincere affection, making me feel part of a community, despite cultural and linguistic differences.

Their smile, their generosity and the strength with which they face difficulties have left a profound mark on me.
This experience was not just a year of service, but a year of growth, awareness and gratitude.
