Why do scientific research in a voluntary association?

Research is not only the discovery of new things by investing star capital, but it is also that of discovering new things from systematic observation of what has been done in the past.

So, the analysis of our activities, In the nutritional field, now started way back in 2016, it has provided us with a large amount of data that, processed, compared and processed by the technicians of the various universities with which we collaborate, are providing us with valuable information on how to interact with the problems that we gradually encounter during our activities. The predominant field of application will be that of Maternal and child malnutrition.

As those who have been following us for many years are well aware, our Nutritional Center has been active since 2016. Our Nutritional Agents have been trained over time by expert nutritionists and biologists. All the pregnant women and children encountered were evaluated and their data were collected in a charts. By now they are tens of thousands The folders that we have and that, reported on our computer program, they gave us a Framework very specific about the nutritional problem of our region. The data is compared and processed according to different variables and depending on how much we want to know in order to have Information on malnutrition both to investigate his causes, on effects, on seasonal trends but above all to evaluate theThe effectiveness of the approaches therapeutic and social impact of our activities, to better guide our intervention.

All of this has been possible thanks to'openness and involvement of various universities that have supported us: Catholic University of Piacenza (Faculty of Agriculture), Politecnico di Milano (Faculty of Agriculture), University of Valencia (Faculty of Nutritional Biology). These collaborations have given a significant contribution to the organization and processing of the data that we have collected over the years. In addition, they supported us in the study andelaboration of nutritional principles that we give to our children, like Moringa Oleifera that we produce on our land.

Our Health Center is also committed to collect data on the pathologies that we face on a daily basis and, also for the strictly health part of our mission, we have organized specific screening and data collection which will soon be developed to understand how to better deal with diseases Most frequent but often unknown or curated in a rough and superficial way.

Research is often done by a few, but it must be useful to everyone and for this reason we decided to Make public the results that we will obtain in future years, so that our experience can be useful to all those who want to dedicate themselves to facing the problems and challenges that are animating our volunteers and, together with them, our entire Association.
