From the start, Niavo faced his condition with surprising strength: a smile that never faded, even in the face of the greatest difficulties.
Thanks to the daily work in our gym, Niavo had started to sit alone in class, to write, to eat independently and to travel short distances if sustained. Every day he learned something new, and every small step was a victory.

Today Niavo is another child.
For months he arrived at the Center in his mother's arms, who out of modesty made her only touch the ground for the last few meters before entering the rehabilitation gym.
Today those feet no longer touch the ground.
They crush it. They conquer it. They walk alone.
Thanks to the work started with the therapists Aurora and Rivo, this dream has become real: Niavo is able to Get up and walk alone.
A goal that fills hearts, that pays off the sacrifices of parents who give up hours of work every week to take her to therapy and that confirms the incredible strength of this child.
On Monday, November 3, with eyes full of pride, Niavo told Rivo (the current local therapist):
“Let's show Aurora in Italy what I can do now?”
Today that moment is a video, a smile, a memory that will remain forever in the history of our Cristina Gym.

The Cristina Gym: where steps become possibilities
Opened in 2024, the Cristina rehabilitation gym in a very short time it has become a point of reference for children with disabilities in the province of Ampefy.
In an area where there were no dedicated services, the gym represented a turning point.
Since then we have followed more than 180 children between 2 and 12 years old, offering personalized routes accessible to even the most vulnerable families.
Here we treat: childhood cerebral palsy, psychomotor delays, motor disabilities, neuromuscular disorders, infectious disease outcomes or severe malnutrition.
The activities include: individual and group physiotherapy, rehabilitation gymnastics and stretching, psychomotor support, recreational and motor activities to promote inclusion.

The goal is always the same:
improve mobility, autonomy and quality of life, also accompanying families with moments of training, listening and support.
And the results speak for themselves.
From the questionnaires collected in the period 2024—2025:
90% Some families have seen improvements in motor skills, 75% Are children more autonomous in daily life, 95% Consider the Cristina Gym 'very useful' or 'indispensable'
Niavo's story is just one of many.
A story that reminds us that no step is too small when it leads to freedom.
And that every child, with the right support, can discover that they are stronger than their difficulty.
