Vaccinations at our Saint Paul Centre

On 9/12/2025, we administered vaccinations to children and adolescents for the first time at the Saint Paul Medical-Surgical Centre!

An important step, which came after a period of training our healthcare staff to ensure quality, safety and continuity of service.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, we held the First Day of Vaccinations, a significant moment for our Center and for the families who rely on our services on a daily basis.

Vaccinations carried out

The vaccinations on this first day involved:

Measles vaccination

For children aged 6 to 59 months (we have vaccinated 21 children)

Papillomavirus vaccine

For teenagers (we vaccinated a 13-year-old teenager)

In the following days, we also visited some surrounding villages, such as Moratsiaso, to vaccinate children and adolescents who were unable to come to the Centre, as well as some schools and a public health centre.

A Step Forward for Local Public Health

Administering vaccines means offering an essential service closer to families, reducing distances, costs and barriers to access.
For many children, this is the only chance they have to receive vaccines that are essential for their growth.

We will continue to guarantee our support for all the next vaccination days, contributing to the strengthening of the Malagasy health system and the protection of the most vulnerable communities.
